David Dew, a native from Richmond, Virginia, came from a banking world before he moved into real estate full time. David is a graduate of Douglas S. Freeman High School and Randolph-Macon College. David got his real estate license straight out of college in 2001 and went into the mortgage banking world. He was married in 2003 to Katie Horsley, granddaugher of Isabell, and they decided to move to the Northern Neck. There David worked with the Bank of Lancaster as a loan originator and then as a branch manager. David showed great leadership skills along with his loan knowledge. David went into full time real estate in 2006 and he and his wife work as a team. David received his brokers license in 2008.
David still shows great leadership skills as he helps manage the Horsley firm and is the Managing Broker for the White Stone Horsley branch office. His dedication in promoting the Horsley team and being resourceful to the agents at Horsley. David also has been involved in many organizations and boards throughout the years, from the Rotary club, White Stone business association, Northern Neck Association of Realtors, Bank of Lancaster board and many others. He is very involved with his community.
David resides in White Stone with Katie and their two children, Leyton and Izzy. He is a platinum producer and makes closings happen. In 2014 David closed over 40 properties. He is dedicated in serving his clients and the Horsley firm.
Margaret Curtis is a native of Richmond who spent every weekend and summer as a child at Fishing Bay in Deltaville. She attended thirteen years at St. Catherine’s School in Richmond, Virginia. She has completed numerous courses in insurance, mortgage, and real estate.
Margaret Curtis started working in the insurance industry for ten years. She then moved into the banking world and retired after 35 years. Margaret moved to the Northern Neck in 1994 and worked for Bank of Lancaster as their Vice President and head of the residential loan department, specializing in portfolio and secondary market home mortgages. While in the mortgage business, she was awarded the Affiliate of the Year from the Women’s Council of Realtors, an arm of the Richmond Association of Realtors and won twice from the Chesapeake Bay Rivers Association of Realtors.
Margaret has been a real estate agent and a team member of Horsley Real Estate since 2011. With her exceptional knowledge in banking, she has the capability of making your transaction run smoothly. Margaret has been married for since 1967 to Ted Curtis and resides in Northumberland County. She enjoys fishing, sailing and gardening. She and her husband also run a charter business, Gypsy Charters and have first class knowledge on the waterways of the Chesapeake Bay!
