Raised in McLean, VA, Hilary and her husband, Bill, moved to the Northern Neck in 2003 with their two young daughters. Together they opened Bay View Homes in 2004, a custom home building company. Hilary has managed their business while serving as Director of Admission at Chesapeake Academy in Irvington, VA for 13 years. With over 34 years in education and ready to focus primarily on Bay View Homes, Hilary joined IsaBell K. Horsley Real Estate in 2020 to marry her experience in construction with the world of real estate. Hilary has strong executive functioning skills and appreciates the finer details in getting a job done.
Hilary attended Langley High School in McLean and went on to earn her BA from Lynchburg College in 1986 as well as her American Montessori Internationale certificate in 1988. Having worked in both the public and private sectors of education, Hilary developed a passion for working in smaller independent schools. It was at Chesapeake Academy that Hilary fostered a love for helping others learn about local education options and the rich community we are fortunate to call home.
Believing in community engagement, Hilary served as the secretary and then president of the parent organization at Chesapeake Academy, CAPPA. In addition, Hilary has volunteered for several years as an Officer of Elections for Lancaster County and is a member of the Lancaster by the Bay Chamber and White Stone Business Association. This engagement permits her to further develop her passion for the wonderful Northern Neck community.
This year Hilary has participated in a number of sales including a $2.4 million waterfront estate in Heathsville, a downtown Kilmarnock home for $445,000 and a $125,000 farmhouse near White Stone. Dealing with such a diverse range of properties gives Hilary the experience to assist you in whatever real estate needs you may have.
