Less is More!

Published on October 14, 2015 @ 4:57 pm

When preparing to sell your home, there are many things you can do to help make your home more attractive and get the best price for your property. You might consider repainting a hallway or room, power washing the sidewalk or exterior of the home, or refreshing your flower beds. These are all great ideas to give your home curb appeal.  Also, when listing a home, less is more, from the inside to the outside. Let’s get started!

Since you’re planning to move, you can get a head start by packing things you don’t really need or use. Remove excess knick knacks. You might love your Disney trinkets, but not everyone can see past your vast collection.  Less furniture will make a room look larger. Take out the large hutch and the leaf in the dining room table to open up the room. Purge your closets. Leave what you need and store the rest to make that closet look fabulous. Do you need all the DVDs and CDs out?  Let’s move those into storage and not clutter up the entertainment area. Kids toys…while we all need items to keep the little ones happy, let’s store some away while the house is on the market.  Take down the family photo gallery and let the buyers picture themselves in your home. And the garage that gathers everything . . . time to get organized.

Let’s get your property ready to sell and get it sold!
