New Kent County was founded in 1654 and currently has 223 miles of beautiful rolling land with 14 miles of waterfront primarily on the Chickahominy River bordering the Pamunkey and York Rivers.  Currently home to a little over 20,000 people with four school systems.  Historically known for being the birth place of two U.S. Presidents, Martha Washington and Letitia Christian Tyler.  New Kent County is adjacent to Charles City and has a convenient location to interstate 64.  A draw to this county is the New Kent Winery & Vinyard.  Only a few miles to the Richmond International Airport.  This area makes a perfect place to stay close to the city, but enjoy the country life.
