Woodas Creek Estate

Woodas Creek, Mathews Waterfront

334 Woodas Creek Road
Mathews, VA 23109

New CBRAR #1804113

Woodas Creek Estate is a truly special enclave for horse and water lovers just off the East River!  The centerpiece of this property is a circa 1840 farmhouse, renovated and expanded with all the modern conveniences, including Hardiplank exterior.  Gorgeous heart pine floors are found throughout most of the home.  Set on 10 private acres, there are four period outbuildings, a 2-stall barn and divided paddock, and 3-car garage with storage above.  The primary historic outbuilding may have been a school house or kitchen and could become cozy guest quarters or office.  Boating enthusiasts will appreciate the 6′ MLW pier and double boat house with lift.  The acreage is in five separate parcels with six septic systems approved (four already installed).  Located in Zone X, the property is well protected, bulkheaded and riprapped for erosion control.  Spectacular four-season landscaping with irrigation offers easy care and color galore!

Mathews County

Mathews is the second smallest county in Virginia, with 252 square miles, and has a population of approximately 9000.  In 1791, Mathews County was formed from a part of Gloucester and named for Revolutionary War General Thomas Mathews.  Well-known for its waterways, Mathews boasts 214 miles of waterfront, with much of that frontage on the Chesapeake Bay, Piankatank River, North and East Rivers, and Mobjack Bay. All this water makes Mathews a haven for boaters, kayakers, fishermen, and nature lovers.
